Road closures during BaconFest

The crew behind the Kingaroy Transformation Project have been working hard to ensure the streets around BaconFest central are finished ahead of this weekend’s festival.

The Fulton Hogan team and the others involved in the KTP project have worked hard around wet weather, industry pressures and the current demand to make the transformation of Kingaroy’s streets happen.

There will be several road closures this weekend to ensure there is enough room to host all of the porky goodness at Kingaroy BaconFest 2022 from Friday, 19 August to Sunday, 21 August.

The following roads will be closed over the Kingaroy BaconFest weekend from the following times:

• Glendon Street (both sides), between Alford Street and the Commercial Hotel drive-through bottle shop will be closed from 6am Friday, 19 August

• Laneway behind the South Burnett Regional Council office, access from Glendon Street -1pm Friday

• Circular Place Carpark, access from Glendon Street -6am Friday

• Circular Place, access from Glendon Street -1pm Friday

• Carpark behind Council office, access from Youngman Street and Glendon Streets -1pm Friday

• Alford Street, between Youngman Street and Glendon Streets -4pm Friday

• Laneway behind Council office, access from Youngman Street to Commercial Hotel -4pm Friday

All roads will be re-opened on Monday, 22 August.

South Burnett Regional Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the public in advance for your patience and cooperation during this period to ensure the event is a successful one for our region.

Prior to the event any enquiries can be made to South Burnett Regional Council, Infrastructure Department by phoning (07) 4189 9100 or by e-mail info@sbrc.qld.gov.au. During the event, direct any queries to BaconFest Committee members on 0483 142 208.
