A vegetation fire near Eidsvold crossed over into a forestry area this afternoon.
As of writing, four Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews are on the scene between the Burnett Highway and Old Monto Road with the first arriving just after 3pm today, Tuesday 7 March, according to a QFES spokesperson.
The QFES crews liaised with landowners at the scene and stopped the fire from going across the road corridor.
The fire was brought under control just before 4pm, part of which involved the crews performing a backburn.
Firefighters are expected to remain at the scene for the foreseeable future as they dampen down the area.
