I was invited by friends to attend the South Burnett Parkinson’s Support Group’s end of year Christmas party luncheon which was held on Monday, 27th November at the Wondai Diggers’ Club.
The dining room was festively and tastefully decorated which created a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
While there were several absentees who sent their apologies, approximately twenty-six members and guests got together and thoroughly enjoyed companionship, laughter, and delicious food.
Lunch was a delectable roast (chicken, meat and a variety of vegetables) followed by a tantalising dessert of either Christmas pudding with ice cream or mango cheese cake with ice cream.
This meal could not be faulted and praise should go to the people who knuckled down in the kitchen to produce something so rewarding.
The group’s Co-ordinator Carmen did an impressive job of organising raffle tickets, games, trivia, jokes, singing and other fun filled entertainment.
Many attendees wore festive outfits which included some lovely bright, Christmas themed shirts proudly shown off by the men.
