As the search for South Burnett man Jack McLennan entered its sixth day, police found a pair of shoes thought to belong to the missing 27-year-old.
Mr McLennan went missing on the evening of 4 October at popular swimming and fishing spot Ficks Crossing near Murgon, with police launching a search into his disappearance the following day.
A police dive squad and ground troops continue to comb the area near Ficks Crossing, aided by aerial search efforts.
On Thursday, 10 October, police released CCTV footage of a Murgon bottleshop, which Mr McLennan visited on 4 October hours before going missing.
Police also announced they found a pair of white sneakers they believe belonged to the missing man.
The search for the 27-year-old will continue on Friday, 11 October, marking one week since he was last seen.
Motorists driving along the Bunya Highway have been alerted to the roaming search parties and are urged to drive slowly while keeping an eye out for Mr McLennan.
Police have also encouraged landholders around the Ficks Crossing area to check their properties, particularly sheds and other structures, for signs of the missing man.
Any members of the public who may have information on Jack McLennan’s whereabouts or who were near Ficks Crossing between 3pm Friday, 4 October and midday on Saturday, 5 October, are urged to come forward.
