Strong sales at inaugural Jen-Daview Invitational Bull Sale

Coolabunia Saleyards came alive on Saturday, 16 August as the inaugural Jen-Daview Invitational Bull Sale delivered a powerful launching, showcasing top tier genetics and drawing a crowd of genuine buyers from across the region.

With eight vendors participating, the sale kicked off promptly at 12pm, offering 72 bulls across Limousin and Angus breeds. By the end of the day, 60 bulls were sold, achieving an impressive 86 percent clearance rate and an overall average price of $8,933.

Sale highlights

Top Limousin Bull Lot 11, Mervale Lone Star U14 (PP B AA), stole the spotlight with a sale price of $30,000.

Top Angus Bull Lot 37, Jen-Daview Paratrooper U6, fetched $14,000, leading the Angus offering.

Breed breakdown

36 Limousin Bulls offered with 35 Bulls sold and a 97 percent clearance rate and averaging a price of $10,314.

34 Angus Bulls offer with 25 Bulls sold and a 74 percent clearance rate and averaging a price of $7,000.

A total of 81 bidders registered on the day, with Grant Daniel and Long managing the sale and Stocklive providing online interfacing to broaden buyer access.

Opening remarks

Before the first lot entered the ring, Corey Evans welcomed attendees with a message of confidence and commitment, “All vendors in the sale fully believe in the bulls we have put forward, standing behind them 100 percent and giving you the confidence and support you need for your purchase.”

He added, “Although this will be the inaugural Jen-Daview Invitational Sale, all of the vendors have been part of respected sale groups previously. Rest assured, what is important to our clients is even more important to us.”
