
Local fire bans remain in place for the North Burnett Regional Council area.
The Queensland Fire Department extended the local fire ban for Central Queensland from 27 October until 11.59pm on Monday, 3 November.
The fire ban for Central Queensland impacts residents in the Gladstone, Bundaberg, Banana Shire and North Burnett Local Government Areas.
Under the local fire ban, all open fires are prohibited, and the lighting of fires are prohibited subject to special conditions or exemptions.
Any permits to light fires issued in the designated local government areas are suspended for the period of the fire ban.
A local fire ban for Central Queensland has been in place since mid-October.
