Christmas pop-up shop

Christmas is just around the corner and it has crept up on most of us yet again.

We vow it won’t happen again but it inevitably does each year, leaving us both scrambling to buy presents at the last minute and stumped for something suitable and different to purchase.

If you are in search of that special Christmas gift, looking for something handmade locally, something a little unique, it’s there waiting for you at the KAT Christmas Popup Shop at Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery, in Haly St, opposite the Peanut Silos.

The annual Christmas Pop Up Shop is designed to make Christmas shopping easier and more pleasurable.

The KAT Christmas Shop offers artists and artisans from all over the South Burnett and nearby, the opportunity to showcase their works, promote themselves and sell.

The Kingaroy Art Gallery offers this free event as a service to the community, a way of shopping in air conditioned comfort away from noisy crowds, and a way of ensuring that the hard earned dollars stay local.

You can choose from garden ornaments, leadlight sun catchers, all your favourite pottery ideas, from beautiful domestic ware, to garden sculptures and pots, all straight from the kiln.

Popular handmade books and paper kits for those who are keen to try various crafts, jewellery in all price ranges, a selection of exotic dichroic pendants and earrings, a range of luxurious hand painted silk scarves and beautiful textiles are all available.

A wide range of resin chopping boards, grazing boards or wooden coasters could be the answer to that hard to buy for person on your list or perhaps choose from delightful wall art, created by local artists, in a range of mediums at very affordable prices.

KRAG always encourages art for youth, knowing they are the artists and artisans of the future.

They are delighted to have teenage suppliers, who have been busy creating a range of 3D fidget toys, magnets and macramé items for the popup shop.

These products and lots more, will be available, all created with love. You never know what you are missing out on, if you don’t drop by for a look., so pop in and browse. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Everyone is invited to a special evening, Saturday 22 November from 5pm till 7.30pm.

Join us, meet the artisans, and enjoy our Christmas celebration with finger food, wine and good company. Check out what is available.

There is a lucky door prize and you could win one of the gift vouchers drawn during the evening.

Share the Christmas spirit. Put a smile on an artisan’s face. Buy local!

The Kat Christmas Pop up Shop will open from Monday 17 November until 24 December.

Gallery hours Monday-Friday 10am-4pm

Saturday-Sunday 9am-1pm

To all our clever local creatives:

Make 2025 Christmas Pop up Shop the best for all our Christmas shoppers.
