Why Kingaroy’s youth need to get ‘Under the Bonnet’

Police officers in Kingaroy are looking to equip the Burnett’s young drivers with the knowledge to drive safely and confidently, and to keep their cars in top shape.

Queensland Police Service representatives will host an ‘Under the Bonnet’ workshop on Wednesday 13 May.

The event, which is set to take place at Ken Mills Toyota on River Road between 6pm and 7:30pm, welcomes drivers 25 years and under who have either recently obtained their learner licence or who are still new to driving.

Officers will teach the group about personal safety, safe driving habits and even dip into the toolbox, offering guidance and advice on basic maintenance tasks.

Participants will leave the workshop being able to change the tyres on their car and perform an oil check.

To book your attendance, call the Kingaroy Police Station on 4189 9100.
