Firefighters tend to Haly Creek fire

Firefighters are currently attending a grass fire at Haly Creek this afternoon.

There are 10 QFES crews tending to the blaze which was first reported at 2.42pm along Haly Creek Rd.

Smoke may affect residents and motorists in the area.

Residents should close their doors and windows and keep medication close by if suffering from a respiratory condition.

Motorists should use caution and drive to conditions.

If you believe your property is under threat, you should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

OTHER FIRES:

QFES crews are monitoring a grass fire along Kumbia Rd at Ellesmere.

This fire first started on Sunday and is not posing a threat to any properties at this point in time.

Crews are also keeping an eye on a vegetation fire at Kilkivan.

The grass fire was first reported at 4pm on Monday and is burning near the intersection of McArthur Road and Kilkivan Tansey Road, Kilkivan.

This fire is contained and is posing no threat to property at this time.
