A severe thunderstorm warning has been forecasted for North Burnett over the next several hours.
These storms are expected to produce heavy rainfall which may result in flash flooding across Gayndah, Childers, Biggenden and Gin Gin.
Musket Flat (east of Biggenden) has already seen 50mm of rain.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it’s flooded, forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
