The Festival of the Dams 2021

Lake Boondooma Caravan and Recreation Park will be hosting the Festival of the Dams from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 May 2021, proudly sponsored by South Burnett Regional Council.

The fishing competition, organised by Fishing Freshwater Australia, will take place on Saturday 15 and Sunday 6 May 2021 with 40 teams battling it out for custom-made trophies and over $10,000 in prizes.

This popular, but exclusive, South Burnett event boasts one of the biggest fishing competitions in the region, as well as a weekend family fun event open to the public with live entertainment, raffles, lucky door prizes and much more for all ages to enjoy!

“Festival of the Dams is a staple in our yearly events for the South Burnett and an opportunity to truly immerse yourself in our way of life. As well as exceptional fishing, South Burnett’s dams provide great family-friendly facilities, recreation, accommodation and scenic views that are an important part of our region’s identity,“ Mayor Brett Otto said.

The Festival of the Dams 2021 is a COVID Safe event, and is working closely with Queensland Health and will adapt plans as required to ensure the safety of all participants and attendees.
