Juniors players are starting early on their rugby league careers, as they tackled a friendly competition in Nanango on Saturday, 8 May.
Coach of the under 8s Murgon Mustangs team, Wayne Gscheidle, said that the kids were really enjoying playing.
“It’s a good way to bond, make new friends, learn about tackling, passing, respect, and sharing.
“It’s mixed teams and a fun, social, and community feel,” Gscheidle said.
The junior players are also participating in the ‘tackle safe program’ with NRL representatives.
