Mondure Hall Committee are extremely pleased to host Fanny Lumsden’s Country Halls Tour.
“As you can imagine we are so pleased that after we heard about her visits to small country halls, we applied and were accepted as a venue,” Committee member Kay Gustafson said.
There were more than 80 new halls who applied to host the Country Halls Tour this year so Fanny Lumsden’s team decided to do the tour in rounds to get to as many towns as possible.
Fanny is the recipient of five Golden Guitar Awards, and also has won the best Country Album, at the Aria Music Awards 2018.
The 2021 Country Halls Tour brings her live music back to the bush for an all in community night out where she will share music from her five time Golden Guitar winning album ‘Fallow’.
Mondure will be the first Queensland town during the 2021 Country Halls Tour and Fanny will make a stop later on in the tour at the Gympie Music Muster on 27 August.
Fanny Lumsden’s Facebook page reminded country music fans to get their tickets quick as this year’s show will not be like normal country hall shows.
“Because of restrictions they won’t be like normal country halls where they sell out and more of you turn up anyway and we let you in or let you watch through the windows.”
Local and budding singer songwriters, poets and performers are encouraged to sign-up as a supporting act at their local Country Halls show by emailing Countryhallstour@gmail.com
“Get in touch if you want to give it a little crack up in lights at your local Country Halls Tour show,” Fanny said in a Facebook announcement.
Tickets are available on Fanny Lumsden’s Country Halls Tour website. The dinner and proceeds from the bar sales will go straight back into the Mondure community. The show will be on Sunday, 18 July from 3.15pm-7.45pm at Mondure Hall.
