A popular event in Proston has been revived with the hosting of a Spring Garden Fete at “Rose Park”, the home of Noel and Helen Young.
This garden was the venue for a number of successful fundraising events in the past, and the Lions Club of Proston is looking forward to welcoming everyone to a morning in the garden on Sunday 3 October.
There will be a number of stalls, including Graham Mitchell from Clouds End Cottage Garden Nursery who will be the guest speaker for the morning.
Club member Irene McDonald will have her colourful garden open to visitors between the hours of 10.30 to 11.30am, and the Lions Park garden is worth a look too.
There will be plenty of plants for sale and a number of craft stalls including the local QCWA groups and others.
Test your garden knowledge with a couple of quirky quizzes, and bring your best flowers for a show with nice prizes.
Food stalls will be open all morning with tea, coffee, cold drinks, sausage sizzle and hot chips.
A multi-draw raffle with a variety of good prizes will be drawn at noon.
Starting time is 8am, and entry is free to all.
Funds raised will be used to improve the amenities in the Lions Park garden.
