• The Northern side of Alford Street will remain open with parking reinstated.

• The Southern side of Alford Street is planned to re-open ahead of schedule during the week

of 27 September.

• Line-marking is scheduled for Alford Street between Youngman Street and the Roundabout during this period. Proposed dates are 3-5 October, during this time early morning road

closures and staged parking closures will occur.

• Minimal short-term parking closures along Alford Street will occur during this period to allow for landscaping.

• Haly Street remains open for westbound traffic only, between Raine and Horne and Youngman Street. Parking disruptions will occur on both sides of Haly Street between Crowies

Paints and Raine and Horne during this time.

• The speed limit remains at 30 kph through constructions zones

• Please limit long-term on-street parking during the construction period. Off-street parking is available in George Street, Roger Nunn Place, Alford Street, and behind South Burnett Regional

Council.

Impacted businesses remain open and locals are encouraged to support them during these times.

Temporary pedestrian pathways will be installed to navigate customers during construction.

The Project Team is working closely with all stakeholders to mitigate the effects of limited parking as much as possible.

Motorists and pedestrians should travel with extreme care, drive to the prevailing road conditions, and adhere to all signage.

The South Burnett Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates your patience while works are in progress.
