BREAKING: Paradise Dam now at 106.87 per cent capacity

Paradise Dam will spill excess water in the coming hours, according to Sunwater.

The storage level is now at 106.87 per cent capacity and rising.

Current modelling shows the water level peaking early afternoon on Monday.

Work at the dam has ceased. All machinery has been demobilised and personnel have been moved to designated safe zones.

The Paradise Dam Emergency Action Plan has been activated and Sunwater is working closely with Bundaberg and North Burnett Local Disaster Management groups (LDMGs).

We are monitoring the dam 24/7 and encourage the Bundaberg and North Burnett communities and downstream residents to:

– Review their emergency plan and stay alert for further advice
