Brangus Weaner Steers hit 864c/kg at Biggenden

Burnett Livestock & Realty’s Biggenden meatworks and store sale on Monday 6 December saw a yarding of 1226 head. More records were broken with the market on fire. Weaner steers and heifers were the standouts with steers averaging 50c stronger and heifers selling 70c stronger.

Cattle were drawn from Murgon, Mary Valley, Goomeri, Woolooga, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Binjour, Gayndah, Mount Perry, Gaeta, Miriam Vale, Yandaran, Bundaberg, Widgee, Lower Wonga, Gympie, Tiaro, Booubyjan, Hervey Bay, Maryborough and all local areas.

Six tooth Charbray bullocks from Mary Valley sold for 441c/$2875. Two and four tooth Brangus bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 435c/$2545. Six tooth Brahman bullocks from Gin Gin sold for 439c/$3228. Four and six tooth Droughtmaster heifers from Gin Gin sold for 454c/$2352. Six tooth Braford heifers from Gayndah sold for 440c/$2112. Six tooth Brahman heifers from Childers sold for 440c/$1947.
