PSPA declared as cops manage siege

Kingaroy Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing incident.

The exclusion zone is bordered by Moonya, Doonkuna, Haly and Fisher Streets and encompasses Gabbee St.

The PSPA was declared at 8.40am on Monday 21 March.

This comes after police attended a Dookuna Street address this morning at 6.45am in response to a disturbance and are currently in contact with a man who is alone inside a residence.

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice.
