For a scant few hours on Sunday evening, Maidenwell became the centre of the South Burnett, with hundreds of adults, youth and children flocking to the town’s Hotel to watch some of Australia’s best and bravest go buck-wild.

The Tanduringie State School 2022 bull ride on Sunday 17 April saw large crowds travel to the small town at the feet of the Bunya Mountains, lured with the promise of spills, thrills, winnings and plenty of fresh food and drink.

With over $3,000 up for grabs across 6 different events spanning all age groups and skill levels, onlookers got their fair share of action as renowned rodeo experts and newcomers vied for glory on the backs of ferocious bulls and mini bulls.
