A slice of generosity through Kingaroy Dominos’ ‘doughraiser’ could go a long way to assist a South Burnett family.

Domino’s Kingaroy Franchisee Morgan Wilkins was keen to give back to the community when he heard about one of his employee’s mum’s cancer battle.

This Saturday every dollar from a pizza sold at Kingaroy Dominos will help support Kylie Willard and her family through this challenging time.

“I believe it’s incredibly important to give back to the local community, so when I heard about Kylie’s story, the Domino’s Kingaroy team and I were eager to offer her our support, as her son, Max, is one of our longest tenured team members,” Mr Wilkins said.

“We encourage all pizza lovers to come down to Domino’s Kingaroy on Saturday, 28 May for a slice of their favourite pizza as we raise funds to support Kylie through chemotherapy.”

Mr Wilkins was humbled to support Kylie and her family.

“All funds raised will be donated directly to Kylie and her family, to help support with medical costs associated with her cancer treatment, including medical fees, travel expenses to and from Toowoomba, and chemotherapy,” he said.

“I’m very passionate about giving back to the local community, especially when there is an opportunity to rally together to support a cause so close to our team.”

$1 from every pizza sold (excluding mini pizzas) at Kingaroy Dominos from 11am to 11pm on Saturday, 28 May will be donated to Kylie and her family.

This will help support them with medical costs associated with her cancer treatment, including medical fees, travel expenses to and from Toowoomba, and chemotherapy.

Saturday’s heart-warming ‘doughraiser’ initiative comes after the Queensland ultramarathon community rallied behind the Willard family when Kylie’s other son Zach competed in the Dead Cow Gully Ultra Marathon.

Dead Cow Gully director Tim Walsh shared about Zach’s story and a GoFundMe was set up to support Kylie’s cancer battle, which was heavily supported by the running and South Burnett community.
