INFO APPEAL: Driver allegedly assaults paying passengers

Police are appealing for information about any accounts of sexual assault from paying customers of a transport driver.

Kingaroy police have charged a 52-year-old man following investigations into two alleged sexual assaults in Kingaroy this year.

Police will allege that on two separate occasions on 15 February and 11 June, the man sexually assaulted women who were passengers paying to be transported in the vehicle he was driving.

A 52-year-old Kingaroy man was charged on 13 July with two counts of sexual assault and is due to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on 8 August.

Further complaints have since been received and detectives are appealing for anyone with information, or interactions of a similar nature, to contact them.
