Burnett Today’s ‘Ham It Up’ competition drew to a close on Monday, with ten lucky winners soon to be one locally-produced Christmas ham richer.

The entries from the four-week competition were drawn at Kingaroy’s The Little Butcher on the morning of Monday, 12 December, by Burnett Today Managing Director Daniel Pelcl and Little Butcher co-owner Brenda Stretton.

Mrs Stretton explained that the 2022 draw comes as the fourth annual collaboration between The Little Butcher and Burnett Today, with the family-owned butcher shop all too happy to prepare and provide the hams for the region’s entrants.

The ten Christmas hams are entirely produced in the South Burnett, with the meat brought in from Sunpork before being smoked in-house by The Little Butcher’s skilled staff.

This year’s lucky winners can come to the Burnett Today office on 154 Haly Street to collect their vouchers, with the hams ready for pick-up before Christmas.

The winners are:

Neil Sippel

Nic Daniells

Val Harm

Fiona Coyne

Noela Ardrey

Val Henningsen

Carol Julian

Shirley McCann

J and P Blyth

Karen Blackburn

Congratulations to all the winners!
