Paramedics have airlifted one motorist to hospital after a single-vehicle crash at Goomeri this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson reported that first responders, which included Fire and Emergency Services crews, attended the scene of the crash on the Burnett Highway at Goomeri just after 9:42am this morning, Thursday 22 December.

Upon arriving, they reported that one person was trapped within their car and required extrication; they were then treated on scene for neck and hip injuries.

A LifeFlight rescue helicopter was tasked to the site of the crash, with the patient flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition shortly thereafter.

Eyewitnesses report that the scene of the incident is as of writing once again clear to motorists.
