South Burnett’s Australia Day Awards

Celebrating the best from the community the weekend before Australia Day.

On Sunday 22 January, the South Burnett Regional Council will hold their Australia Day Awards ceremony at the Nanango Showgrounds.

The ceremony will welcome Rod Morgan as master of ceremonies and Juliana Evangelista to sing the Australian National Anthem.

Following the awards ceremony, the Nanango Heritage Choir will perform and an afternoon tea will be provided.

Mayor Brett Otto congratulates all nominees and acknowledges their commitment to the community.

“All those nominated for an Australia Day Award have showcased their true community spirit and are at the heart of what makes the South Burnett great,” the mayor said.

“We have faced many highs and lows throughout the course of the past year, however, our community members once again demonstrated the true resilience that is the hallmark of our rural community.”
