A person is still trapped in their vehicle after crashing into a tree south-west of Kumbia this evening.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services received the call to attend a single-vehicle crash on the Bunya Highway at Mannuem Road, Kumbia, at 5:21pm today, Saturday 11 March.
A spokesperson for QFES reported that the first of three crews tasked to the incident arrived just before 6pm, finding a car that had crashed into a tree off the highway.
The QFES spokesperson confirmed that, as of writing, at least one person is trapped in the vehicle, requiring firefighters to use their ‘heavy rescue trailer’ and its on-board cutting equipment to free them.
QFES crews remain on scene as the recovery efforts progress.
