Yarraman P-9 State School’s Year 8 students have been adding up some great results in maths recently.
The Year 8 students have just completed their maths unit involving percentage and profit and loss.
Percentages are used to describe many different aspects of information and even have their own symbol: %
Throughout the unit students have used percentages to calculate commission, mark-up, profit and loss.
They have also had the opportunity to make some ‘financial decisions’.
