Grant success for 12 groups

A dozen South Burnett community groups have welcomed funding.

Member for Nanango, Deb Frecklington, congratulated the community groups who were successful in Round 115 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund grants program.

These South Burnett groups will share in more than $353,000 for projects that help upgrade facilities and purchase equipment..

“This is a great start to 2023 for these community groups and it is wonderful they will be able to complete key projects for their groups and members,” Mrs Frecklington said.

The successful South Burnett groups were:

• Blackbutt and District Pony Club

• Cooyar Campdraft Association

• Yarraman Local Ambulance Committee

• Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce

• Manumbar Campdraft and Hall Association

• Murgon State School P and C

• Nanango and District Cricket Club

• Tablelands Rural Fire Brigade

• Gordonbrook Rural Fire Brigade

• Nanango RSL Sub-Branch

• South Burnett Community Orchestra

• South Burnett Saints AFL Club

“Congratulations to these groups on their grant success and I look forward to hearing about the progress of their important projects

“Clubs are always welcome to call my office on 4190 7100 for advice and support on future Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant rounds,” she said.
