Makeover for day use area

The drainage issue within Tipperart Flats Camp and Day Use Area will be improved with works scheduled to begin on Monday, 27 March 2023 the South Burnett Regional Council has advised.

These works are funded through the South Burnett Regional Council 2022-23 Capital Programme with major civil works expected to be completed late April 2023, subject to weather and other external constraints.

In order to provide a safe working environment for Council staff and users, these works will be controlled by signage and other traffic management measures. This includes the closure and restricted access to the

Tipperary Flats Camp and Day Use Area for the duration of the project.

The closure may also extend to areas whilst grass re-establishment occurs.

Access to the day-use park, toilet facilities and Peanut Wagon from King Street (D’Aguilar Highway) will be unaffected.

There will be limited availability for camping within this area.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks businesses and the community for their patience whilst works are in progress.

For further information regarding the project, please contact Council’s Infrastructure team on 4189 9100 or email info@sbrc.qld.gov.au.
