A fire in the North Burnett locality of Golden Fleece, northeast of Biggenden, required five QFES crews to contain.

A total of three firies squads remain at the scene of the fire on Berries Road, which was called in at 10:04am today.

The first crew arrived at 10:40am; over the next half hour, QFES firefighters worked to contain the blaze, reporting that they had managed to put out the fire at 11:15am.

A spokesperson for QFES said the remaining crews are working to ‘completely blacken out’ the site of the fire.
