An annual ball to benefit the Burnett’s struggling residents is once again on the books this year.

The eighth annual White Dove Ball at Kingaroy’s Town Hall on Friday, 27 October promises to be a rip-roaring evening full of music and dance in an effort to raise money for those less fortunate.

Organiser Rhonda Trivett, who founded the non-profit ‘South Burnett Peace of Mind’ to help combat houselessness and other pain points within the region’s communities, said this year’s ball – the second one after a three-year Covid-induced hiatus – is once again not to be missed.

With musical entertainment by the Burnett’s own Elvis, Jeff Hancox, attendees will be tearing up the floor in no time.

To relax, ticketholders can enjoy a two-course dinner and a few drinks or cheer on the competitors in the Elvis dress-up event.

Prizes are up for grabs for the best-dressed attendees, and all proceeds from the ball’s ticket sales will go directly to South Burnett Peace of Mind’s quest to create better communities in the Burnett.

Entry is free for houseless persons and children, with discounts for pensioners and teenagers.

To RSVP, phone Rhonda Trivett on 0488 110 955.
