STAY ALERT: Numerous fires across Burnett

Queensland Fire and Emergency Crews are currently fighting numerous fires across the Burnett region.

These include Ellesmere near Brooklands and Durong in the South as well as Gayndah, Eidsvold, Mundubbera, Biggenden and Coalstoun Lakes in the North Burnett.

STAY INFORMED: ELLESMERE FIRE

The warning level for the Ellesmere fire near Brooklands has been moved to advice.

The warning area at the moment is for properties between Kumbia Road, Ellesmere Road and Parker Road.

The fire is burning near Acacia Drive and Hilltop Drive and is moving towards Lilian Avenue.

STAY INFORMED: GAYNDAH

QFES reports that there are multiple fires burning in the Gayndah area.

Anyone in this region are urged to stay informed of what is happening.

The warning areas around Gayndah include Humphery, Mount Debateable, Woodmillar, Gayndha, Dirnbir, Reids Creek and Mount Lawless.

AVOID SMOKE: NORTH BURNETT

Smoke from multiple fires is affecting Mundubbera, Gayndah, Coalstoun Lakes and Biggenden areas.

People in this region are encouraged to stay inside, keep windows and doors closed and avoid driving in smoke if possible.

AVOID SMOKE: Eidsvold

Smoke is currently affecting Eidsvold West and surrounding areas.

This is from a fire burning near Old Rawbelle Road.

STAY INFORMED: DURONG FIRE

A bushfire is burning near Chinchilla Wondai Road and is moving towards Shellytop Road and Mundubbera Durong Road.

The warning area includes properties between Mundubbera Durong Road, Shellytop Road and Chinchilla Wondai Road.

Major roads and highways may be impacted including Chinchilla Wondai Road.

– Keep medications close by.

– Avoid smoke – stay indoors, close windows and doors, and avoid driving through smoke.

– Watch out for firefighters working in the area.

– Do not fly drones around the fire. Drones affect air operations.
