About the Bible Exhibition
The Bible Exhibition is designed to be an educational event and to passively promote the Bible in a friendly and welcoming environment.
The expo held at the Biggenden Memorial Hall from 20 to 24 February, is about the Bible and also covers how it came to be here in Australia.
Visitors will be able to walk in for a quick browse or have a guided tour.
Each evening, there’s a short message from the Bible from 6.15 to 7pm in the air-conditioned Biggenden Memorial Hall.
What is there to see at the exhibition?
The purpose of the exhibition is to provide a relaxed environment where those who are interested can explore the Bible – ‘the world’s best-selling book’. There is information and displays to interest all age groups, from old to young.
The Bible Exhibition is designed to be informative and interesting, covering a wide range of Biblical history – it’s writing, canonisation, copying and printing.
Visitors can find out about Bible characters and some of the people who sacrificed their lives so we can have easy access to a full translation in English.
There are 35 banners to explore in the exhibition, as well as viewing authentic ancient Bible pages dating back as far as 1607.
Also on display are numerous artefacts and replica items, including a Roman Scourge, Coins, Crown of Thorns, Herodian Oil Lamp, miniature Roman Soldier, Ten Commandments, Noah’s Ark small replica, Cubit Measure and much more.
There are Bibles, scripture wall plaques, literature and fridge magnets etc. – all free!
This whole event is completely free and no donations are required. All are welcome!
We’re bringing a piece of true Australian history – a 1927 Chevrolet vehicle called “The Australian Bible Van” – well worth seeing!
Look forward to seeing you there.
‘For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.’
John chapter 3, verse 16
About the organisers
The Bible Exhibition organisers David and Meryl, from Cooroy Gospel Hall, have strong ties to the Biggenden-Dallarnil region.
Both the Delley and Johannesen families originated from the Dallarnil area and attended the Dallarnil Gospel Hall.
Both of their fathers were born at the Biggenden Hospital, and went to Dallarnil and Biggenden schools.
