Information sessions about dementia will be rolled out across the South Burnett next week.
Dementia Australia is offering support to those, who are worried about their own memory or someone they know who many have dementia, in the South Burnett and Gympie regions between 10 and 13 June.
These free sessions are an opportunity for people living with dementia, their carers, family, and friends to attend free education to better understand dementia and to discuss the support and services Dementia Australia can provide.
Dementia Australia reported that it is estimated there are around 82,270 people living with dementia in Queensland. Without a medical breakthrough this number is expected to increase to around 168,300 people living with dementia by 2054.
