Kumbia’s century-old Memorial Hall is still in need of repairs, with a dedicated group of locals fundraising to breathe new life into the local landmark.

The Kumbia Memorial Hall ‘Buy a Stump Appeal’ has breezed past a quarter of its goal amount of $200,000, with the Kumbia and District Memorial School of Arts committee having successfully raised $60,000 as of 23 August.

Should the group be successful in acquiring the necessary funding, it would purchase and install a new set of wooden stumps for the hall, giving the 102-year-old hall much-needed foundational strength for the years to come.

The group has expressed its desire to see the hall celebrate its 200th birthday – and to make this wish come true, they require your assistance.
