Nearly two weeks since his disapperance from a South Burnett swimming spot, police have continued their search for 27-year-old Jack McLennan today.
Mr McLennan was last seen at Ficks Crossing between Murgon and Wondai between 8pm and 10pm on Friday, 4 October, prompting a major search effort from police, the State Emergency Service, and community groups.
On Thursday, 10 October police released CCTV footage of a Murgon bottleshop, which Mr McLennan visited hours before going missing.
That same day they also found a pair of white sneakers near Ficks Crossing, thought to belong to the missing man.
On 11 October, officers found what they think to be Mr McLennan’s hat near McAlister and McLucas Streets in Murgon.
A Queensland Police Service dive squad, police dogs, SES volunteers, and other specialised teams have since expanded their search to an area west of Murgon.
Jack McLennan is described as white-skinned, approximately 185cm tall with light brown hair and brown eyes; he was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark shorts.
Police have asked residents of the area to check their properties, paying particular attention to sheds and other outbuildings for signs of the missing man.
Anyone with information about Mr McLennan’s whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police.
Police have also renewed their call for a person of interest to come forward, whom they believe may have seen Mr McLennan before his disapperance on 4 October.
The person, who officers believed was travelling in a dark-coloured car with a rooftop tent, was reportedly camping at Ficks Crossing on the night Mr McLennan was last seen.

Members of the South Burnett community have also banded together to search the area around Ficks Crossing for Mr McLennan.
A search party will gather at Wondai’s IGA supermarket at 9am on Saturday, 19 October.
Locals with drones, motorbikes or quads or those adept at riding horses are urged to join up.
