Mundubbera laneway facelift

Mundubbera’s Laneway has been closed this week and this weekend ahead of an exciting reveal.

North Burnett Regional Council reported that the laneway between the Mundubbera Supper Room and the Mundubbera Customer Service, Library Centre and Regional Art Gallery is closed from Sunday 8 to Monday 16 December.

Mundubbera Regional Art Gallery’s committee are thrilled to announce they have secured a Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant to undertake a project to modernise the appearance of the laneway.

The grant will be used to resurface and decorate the alleyway leading to the gallery’s main entrance and surrounding walkways. Flashcretecoatings from Kingaroy will undertake the project.

“Improving the visual appeal of the concrete walkways leading into the gallery space will bring focus to our Gallery down the Alley encouraging the public – locals and tourists to visit the gallery exhibition space,” the a committee spokesperson stated.

“The grant will also be used to erect a Gallery sign in the adjacent park area.”

As a result pedestrian access to the Mundubbera Customer Service and Library Centre and the art gallery will be affected.

During the closure period, the Customer Service and Library Centre and the Art Gallery will be open and accessible via the Art Gallery’s main entrance, which can be accessed from the carpark located at the rear of the Community Hall, Burnett Street, Mundubbera. Access to other Council facilities such as the Mundubbera Supper Room will be managed through bookings.
