Kingaroy beauty businesswoman Samantha Carty is looking forward to sharing her LifeFlight story.
Mrs Carty will be the guest speaker for the upcoming Kingaroy Men’s Shed Dinner Under The Stars event on 8 March.
The mother-of-two young children and That Beauty Space owner said her clients told her every week about stories where their loved ones needed a LifeFlight helicopter.
“I tell them all the time how lucky we are that the LifeFlight helicopter means we can get our loved ones to a bigger hospital when they need it,” Mrs Carty said.
The fundraiser where Mrs Carty will share her story, includes a two-course campoven style dinner which will be held at the men’s shed grounds and feature entertainment by Amos, Natalie Fenton and Paul Ricketts.
“I think the story behind why my family needed the LifeFlight helicopter will resonate with all the parents in the audience,” Mrs Carty said.
“I will never forget the day that I was stepping into that helicopter.
“The LifeFlight crew were just amazing and reassuring.”
She held a LifeFlight fundraiser at the end of 2024 within her business and raised almost $1500.
“A lot of my clients have been in the LifeFlight helicopter,” she said.
“If you live in Kingaroy, chances are you know someone in your circle who is here today because of LifeFlight.
“Why not book your family into this wonderful community event organised by the Kingaroy Men’s Shed, it’s going to be a really special night.”
