Second hand books, new journey

The St John’s Lutheran School Parents and Friends association is preparing for the upcoming South Burnett Bookarama.

This huge sale of pre-loved books, magazines and music will be open to the public at the Kingaroy Town Hall from the 29 to 30 March.

A VIP Launch is to be held on Friday, 28 March allowing attendees to get a first chance to look at all the books, DVDs, puzzles and games.

A dedicated team of volunteers are continuing to sort the books and other items generously donated by locals in the lead up to the event.

“It’s about recycling the books and raising funds for St John’s Lutheran School,” said Caz Dingle, 2024 President of the PNF Committee.

The Bookarama is aimed to give books a second lease on life, to let them go to a loving home, while also being a crucial fundraiser for the school.

The Kingaroy Town Hall will be open on Saturday, 29 March from 8am to 4pm, and Sunday, 30 March from 8am to 12pm.

Tickets for the VIP Launch Event are $10 each and can be purchased online via trybooking.com/CZLMZ
