Murder most foul in Nanango

Nanango Theatre Company will be bringing an Agatha Christie classic, The Mousetrap, to life in April. (SUPPLIED)

One of famous detective author Agatha Christie’s most classic plays is currently in rehearsal at the Opera House… that is the Nanango Theatre House.

The Mousetrap play is set in a remote area in the Midlands of England in an old manor guest house in the middle of a very cold winter.

The young couple who own the manor are opening it up to guests for the first time.

Heavy snowfall isolates the manor as guests arrive, and not all of these guests booked ahead, or will survive.

There is of course, a typically devious Agatha Christie murder which will keep audiences guessing until the very end.

Eight local thespians -five men and three women- are working hard to bring this famous play alive.

The Mousetrap ‘who-dunnit’ has been enchanting audiences for more than 70 years.

Directors Anne Davoren and Jenny Morgan are inviting audiences to come and enjoy this guessing game on 4, 5, 11 and 12 April, including two matinee performances at the Nanango Theatre House on Elk Street.
