Are you passionate about your local show and community?

Kingaroy Show Society is seeking its 2025 Showgirl and Rural Ambassador entrants.

They are also accepting applications for the Junior Showgirl and Junior Rural Ambassador roles.

These roles recognise and celebrate young leaders who are passionate about rural life, community involvement, and the spirit of the show.

It is also a chance to develop confidence, public speaking, leadership and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

The showgirl and rural ambassadors will have the opportunity to take part in the official opening parade and present ribbons and awards to the various show winners throughout the weekend.

A showgirl’s role helps recognise, develop and celebrate young female leaders in Queensland communities.

The Kingaroy Showgirl role is open to young women aged between 18 and 28-years-of age, and the Junior Showgirl is for girls aged between 12 and 17-years-old.

Meanwhile, a rural ambassador is someone who is keen to raise the profile of Queensland Shows, particularly making it accessible to younger people.

The Rural Ambassador role is open for young men and women aged between 20 to 29 years of age, and the Junior Rural Ambassador is for young people aged between 12 and 19 years old.

Kingaroy Show Society is holding interviews for these roles at 4pm on Friday, 2 May, with presentations to follow at 5pm.

The winners will be required to make appearances at the Kingaroy Show on Saturday, 3 and Sunday 4 May.
