South Burnett Parkinson’s Support Group joined the Cancer Support Group for its meeting on Tuesday, 22 April at the UCA Hall, 55 Gore Street, Murgon.

In Carmen’s absence, due to illness, Doug chaired the meeting and welcomed the nine attendees.

The people were a mix from both the Cancer Support Group and the Parkinson’s Support Group.

This was a social meeting and everyone enjoyed conversation with each other and a lovely morning tea, provided by the meeting’s participants.

Doug talked about Blaze Aid and the help that’s needed for all the flood affected properties.

He also mentioned that Ian Crib, who plays the piano at the monthly Music Jam Sessions, was unwell and being treated in a Toowoomba hospital. We are concerned for Ian’s welfare and wish him a speedy recovery.

Our thoughts are also with Carmen as we wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her at the next Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting to be held on the 26 May which will be the last Monday of the month.

The meeting closed at 11.15am. If you would like any information on the Parkinson’s Support Group, please contact Carmen (Coordinator) on 5486 1268.
