Dimities Cottage Café was abuzz with warmth, song, and generosity as it hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday 22 May, bringing the community together in support of cancer research and care.

The much-loved café welcomed 50 guests who gathered to enjoy a delightful spread of homemade treats and uplifting entertainment—all for a worthy cause.

The café, renowned for its charm and comfort, lived up to its reputation with a menu that had mouths watering.

Guests indulged in a lovingly prepared selection including apple slice, date slice, frittata, patty cakes, dainty sandwiches, and, of course, Graham Mitchell’s famous scones—fluffy, golden, and smothered in jam and cream.

“It’s an honour to host this event each year,” said Graham Mitchell, Dimities’ owner and chef. “This is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a morning filled with connection, kindness, and care.”

Entertainment was generously provided by none other than Louise the DIVA, who filled the café with music, laughter, and community spirit.

Attendees had the chance to make song requests for a gold coin donation, with tunes spanning every genre and era.

“Music is therapy,” said Louise. “It’s always an honour to support Graham’s events and be part of something that uplifts people in so many ways.”

The event was not only a fundraiser but a celebration of community, resilience, and joy.

The combination of delicious food, soulful tunes, and heartfelt generosity created a memorable morning for all.

Graham and Louise hinted at more collaborations to come, with exciting projects in the works. To stay up to date, locals are encouraged to follow Dimities Cottage Café and Louise the DIVA on social media.

Because when good food, great music, and generous hearts come together—magic happens.
