Community members are invited to help shape their region’s biosecurity plan.
South Burnett Regional Council and the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council invite local community members and landholders to express their interest in joining an advisory committee to help guide the development of a comprehensive Biosecurity Plan.
The two councils are looking for interested residents who have a strong connection to the land or environment.
Applicants must be involved in agriculture, landcare tourism or related industries and may represent community or environmental groups.
Potential committee members must also have an interest in protecting the region’s biodiversity and productivity.
Expressions of interest are now open and will close on Thursday, 3 July.
