A night of shared purpose and community warmth lit up the South Burnett skies on Saturday, 8 March 2025, as locals gathered for the annual Dinner Under the Stars, an event made possible through the auspice of the Kingaroy Men’s Shed in conjunction with the Dinner Under the Stars Committee.
The evening raised a remarkable $20,000 for LifeFlight, underscoring not only the generosity of the local community but its deep commitment to lifesaving services.
To celebrate the success of this year’s event, the Kingaroy Men’s Shed will formally present LifeFlight with the donation at a luncheon on Wednesday, 24 July at the Kingaroy RSL, with proceedings starting at 12pm, followed by a purchased lunch from 12.30pm.
All community members and visitors are warmly invited to attend.
Dinner Under the Stars, held on the Men’s Shed premises at Geoff Ralph Drive has become a cherished annual community tradition not only raising essential funds, but also amplifying awareness of the vital role LifeFlight plays in regional and remote areas.
“The people of Kingaroy can be extremely proud of their support for this vital service,” Men’s Shed President Eric Ford said.
“We have presented LifeFlight with a total $58,000 as the result of these annual dinner events.”
Mr Ford continued to share his appreciation of the support the community had given.
“The untiring efforts of the events committee, the members of the Kingaroy Men’s Shed, and to the sponsors and donors who are always there for us, were an integral part to the success of this year’s Dinner Under the Stars,” he said.
The Kingaroy community’s generosity, both in raising funds and championing awareness, continues to make a tangible difference, reinforcing the power of grassroots efforts and shared values in rural Queensland.
So, mark your calendars for the 2026 Dinner Under the Stars on Saturday, 28 February, with festivities kicking off at 3pm.
