The Nanango RSL Sub-Branch is pleased to announce that they have been successful in obtaining a generous grant from the Heritage Bank Nanango for the provision of two display cabinets. Throughout every year we are given, bequeathed or purchase military memorabilia that we catalogue, and our dedicated memorabilia officer tries to place on display, particularly those items of historical and military significance such as an original 1918 newspaper that is housed in the new cabinets.
We recently have created an ideal place for display purposes and thanks to this grant we have been able to have locally made and installed two sizable display cabinets to house and display the memorabilia that we have stored.
The memorabilia will be on display all year round and will act as a constant reminder of the sacrifice made by all those who served and in particular those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
