Call for witnesses of serious Childers crash

Police are calling for witnesses of a serious single vehicle crash near Childers on Wednesday afternoon, 30 July.

The emergency services received reports that a white Renault Kangoo van had rolled on Childers Road, near the intersection of Swantons Road, in North Isis around 2.20pm.

The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating the crash, occuring north of the Childers township, which left two people seriously injured.

The driver, a 76-year-old Childers man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.

The passenger, a 70-year-old Childers woman, was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
