With vibrant colours, clever craftsmanship, and a whole lot of heart, Kingaroy State School’s display at the 2025 Ekka didn’t just catch eyes – it captured imaginations.

This year’s Ekka saw Kingaroy State School students see outstanding success, competing in the Education on Show category, where they embraced this year’s theme of ‘Feeding the Future’.

Students explored the heart of food systems, highlighting and celebrating the vital role farmers play in shaping the future.

Kingaroy State School Year 6 student, Ella Daniells won first prize with her Agronomy poster that advertised and promoted a career in agriculture.

She also won a commended award for her technology design that asked students to create a pumpkin carving using Minecraft techniques.

Ella’s outstanding work led her to take out the top prize of Year 5-6 sectional winner.

Kingaroy State School’s youngest members were proud to hear that their group project of a barnyard theme won them highly commended and a commended award.

Congratulations to all award winners who displayed their work to over 400,000 patrons who visited this year’s EKKA.
