A thank you to the generations

This family from Wondai had the opportunity to celebrate with five generations of family this year’s Father’s Day on Sunday, 7 September. Alicia Pidgeon shares her family’s special moment:

Father’s Day means many things to many people.

But to us it also means a family day which meant that we can celebrate having five generations in our family.

Starting with our matriarch Pat Hansen who had been the backbone of our family who has supported, cared for and nurtured us all.

She has provided love, care and guidance throughout the family and supported the community is well known and she is loved by one and all.

Pat is now a great, great grandmother with her daughter Neril who is now a great grandmother: her son Brenton is a grandfather and with his son Seth who is a proud new dad to a beautiful baby boy Luca born in June 2025.
