Proston pool remains closed

Those in Proston keen to cool down in the pool will have to travel further for the foreseeable future.

The South Burnett’s local pools reopened last Saturday, 20 September, but Proston’s pool remained closed.

Until further notice, the Proston Swimming Pool will remain closed as the council advertises for a new pool manger—parents and citizens of Proston will not be continuing supervision during this new this season.

The only activities happening at Proston’s local pool will be school swimming activities, which will be overseen by the Department of Education.

The council will provide updates at a later date about any changes to the Proston Pool. The tender for the Proston pool manager will be out until 6 October.

At this time, there are other local swimming pools around the area that are available for use while Proston pool is out of order, where you can take learn-to-swim lessons, squad, swimming club, aqua aerobics:
