Celebration at gallery

It was a true celebration at Mundubbera gallery as a well loved artist returned for possibly her final exhibition in the Burnett gallery.

The Mundubbera Regional Art Gallery held an exhibition opening event on Saturday, 1 November at 6pm.

Gatton artist Elizabeth Browne unveiled her exhibition titled ‘Celebration’ last weekend, which featured a focus on colour through her love of flowers and landscape.

Despite storms brewing, the opening was well attended with more than 20 people who enjoyed the social evening with drinks and nibblies.

At 86-years-old, this exhibition is Elizabeth’s fourth time at the Mundubbera gallery and suspects it may be her last.

“She is a vibrant and genuine person and has not only produced art in pastel and acrylics, but also hand paints bottles for water/coasters and bags which are scotch guarded and hand washable,” Mundubbera gallery coordinator Sue Allan said.

“All her paintings are for sale and can be taken from the gallery when sold so people who travel or want them for a present have the item straight away.”

Elizabeth Browne’s Celebration exhibition will remain on display at the Mundubbera gallery until 10 January 2026.
